Who can join AMERICAN UNITED
Membership is open to those who join the Financial Fitness Association for $5, are related to an existing member, or live in an approved underserved area in Salt Lake County, Utah. Additionally, people who live, work, or attend school in Carbon or Emery counties, or who are an employee or member of an approved SEG group or association are eligible. Historically, the credit union also served employees of Safeway supermarkets, Utah Transit Authority, Union Pacific Railroad, Salt Lake Tribune, Newspaper Agency Corporation, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Utah, AUB organization, VA Regional Office in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Printing Center, Deseret Management Corporation, Deseret News newspaper, Kaiser Steel Corporation, Dragerton Cleaning Company, Miners Trading Post, Carbon Medical, Soldier Creek Coal Company, and residents of Sunnyside, East Carbon, Grantsville, Rush Valley, Lake Point, and Wendover cities. Enrolled members of any federally recognized tribe are also eligible with a GoldStar® Membership.
